As winter settles over Cape Town, most of us have the luxury of reaching for a warm jacket or an extra blanket. For the thousands of people living on our streets, that's not a given.
Every year, as the cold sets in, the need for warmth and support becomes even greater. That’s why organisations like U-turn Homeless Ministries continue to play such an important role in our communities. Through structured support, skills development, and care, U-turn walks alongside individuals experiencing homelessness, helping create pathways toward independence and dignity.
As a continued supporter of U-turn, Quay 1 is proud to launch a winter clothing donation drive to help those facing the cold this season.
Here's what you can donate:
- Jackets, hoodies, sweaters and jerseys
- Blankets
- Shoes
- Canned food
- Any warm everyday clothing
Clean and gently worn is all we ask. If it's something you'd be happy to pass on to someone in need, we'll make sure it's delivered to them.
